Update: How to get $15 in Free Redbull As part of Class Action Law Suit

My original blogpost was October of 2014. Update on that blog is this statement from EnergyDrinkSettlement.com.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: The Court held a Final Approval Hearing on May 1, 2015 and approved the Settlement; however two appeals were filed shortly thereafter. On September 30, 2015, the final appeal was dismissed and the Settlement became Effective. Pursuant to the terms of the Settlement, it is anticipated that distribution of settlement benefits to eligible claimants will occur no later than February 27, 2016. Please allow 7-10 business days for receipt of your settlement benefit.

Below is my original blog about it from October of 2014.

Redbull Settlement

I have an admission to make. I have been addicted to Red Bull Energy Drinks for years. In fact, I recall a time back in 2003 when I was getting food stamps from the government between jobs when I found out that you could use food stamps on Red Bull. Well, since then I have likely drank hundreds if not a thousand Red Bulls. Maybe, one day, when my kidney’s give out and I can sue like the rest of this country when they make continuous bad decisions, I will be rich. In the meantime, Red Bull has just lost a class action lawsuit that is so vague in its redemption process that it is either an amazing marketing hoax, or a tribute to just how fucked up the court systems are. Why am I saying this? Well, you don’t have to even prove you ever drank red bull. You don’t have to provide a receipt or anything. You simply have to go to this site https://rdb.gcginc.com/Default.aspx and file a claim, and then wait. You can either take a $10 settlement or $15 worth of Red Bull. For me the choice was easy….
